Dorian, a thirteen-year-old runaway who’d been jailed there, would possibly ne'er have created it out if not for her fellow imprisoned Mina, who’d planned the escape set up. Mina was the a lot of daring of the two—but they’d been equally desperate.

When Mina and Dorian are ready for their escape, security kills Mina whereas Dorian manages to cover and avoid recapture. Police discover Mina’s body, and Eve Dallas and Elizabeth Peabody begin work and investigating.
