Stephenie Meyer is an author and film producer from the United States. Her most famous work is the vampire romance series Twilight, which has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide.


Stephenie Meyer wrote the vampire romance novel Twilight for young adults. It was followed by four sequels, making it the first book in the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, the New Moon, the Eclipse, and the Midnight Sun.


The majority of the action in this young adult vampire novel occurs in a town on the Olympia peninsula in Washington state. Forks is the name of the town, which is one of the wettest and cloudiest in the United States. There are only a few days of sunshine each year.
